Hello, I'm Ron Kim, founder of Kairos and your admissions consultant. I founded Kairos after working at Crimson Education, one of the largest admissions consulting firms in the world. I learned a great deal at a big firm. I also saw things I wish I hadn't. Once you sign a contract, the student is often handed off to a junior associate. The person with the real track record stays nothing more than a name on the website. I didn't think that was right.
So I built Kairos differently from the start. Every session, every essay, every strategy call is with me directly. I take on only a small number of families each year, because that's the only way to know a student deeply enough to help them truly stand out.
I grew up in Korea's international school system and studied at the University of Illinois in the United States. I've helped students gain admission to Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Penn, Dartmouth, Cornell, Duke, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Chicago, and I've also worked directly in college counseling at international schools.
